Download telemetry data from Assetto Corsa

Hello! My name is Abel Caro and I am going to teach you how to get the telemetry data of Assetto Corsa.

Assetto Corsa drivers are fortunate to have the work of Race Department. And here is the step-by-step explanation of how to download your telemetry data from Assetto Corsa.

1. Download ACTI

To download this, you can find the link here.

If you have never downloaded anything from that website, you will probably see a blocked button that says «NO PERMISSION TO DOWNLOAD»:

Don’t worry. You can get this permission just by registering:

You can register and login with any Google, Facebook, Twitter or Microsoft account. They make it easy for you.

In case you are going to register, you have several plans to choose from: one of them is free. Click «JOIN NOW» on which you like the most and complete the registration like any other:

Once you have the account created, log in. And as you can see, you already have access to the download:

2. Unzip and locate folders

What you have downloaded is a compressed file called «acti_package_v1.1.2.rar». Inside you will see several folders and files:

One of those files is a PDF which explains how this should be installed in great detail. But here we get to the point.

There are two compressed files that interest you: «acti.rar» and «acti_trig_cntrl.rar». Do you have them located?

By the way, you can unzip the compressed file to have them in a folder instead of a compressed file. Maybe that’s more comfortable for you.

Inside «acti.rar» is the «acti» folder. You can put that folder wherever you want, keeping in mind that it will be where the data is stored. More specifically, within «telem», a subfolder that is inside.

Once you’ve put it somewhere, copy the path and leave it copied. We will use it a little later.

Don’t you know what the route is or how to copy it? It is that text that is at the top of any folder:

If you click there, everything is automatically selected and you can copy it.

Now it’s time to go to the other file: «acti_trig_cntrl.rar». There are two other folders in there: «apps» and «contents». What you have to do with both is to copy them into the folder where Assetto Corsa is installed.

It is usually in «Steam/SteamApps/common/assettocorsa». That Steam folder should be in «program files» inside the main folder of the hard drive, unless you installed it elsewhere.

Anyway, if you go into Assetto Corsa folder, you will see that there are two folders that are called the same as ours: «apps» and «contents». When you copy them inside, what happens is that the new files are added in their respective folders.

There may be a little mess with so much folder, but don’t worry, going step by step you should have no problem.

3. Activation in Assetto Corsa

It is time to open our beloved Assetto Corsa.

Upon entering, we go to «Main menu» and «Options». At the bottom you will see the «UI Modules», where our «acti» is. Activate it:

Now, what you have to do is enter in any practice and go on track. In the side menu you will find two options of acti:

If you click on the one below, a window will appear in the middle of the screen. In the bar where just above it says «Full System Path to Local acti.exe» you must put the full path. And that’s the one you copied before, you have to add «acti.exe» at the end:

Be careful, because if you do not have the option to see the extensions activated in the Windows folder viewer, perhaps what you have to add to the path is just «acti» (without the «.exe» at the end).

Below are also a couple of options: «Auto Launch Enable» and «Auto Connect Enable». Activate them and restart the practice you entered (or entirely Assetto Corsa to be safer).

When you return to the track, click on the first option of «acti» in the side menu. You will see that the central light is green. That means you did it!

Now all you have to do is send that data to Lebalap to get the most out of it!
